Dont get me wrong though from what i watched of the movie it wasn't too bad but it should always be in japanese!

Yeah The deathnote films were actually pretty aweosme,
as far as live action anime films go anyway
but I agree, it should definetly stay in japanese!

The movie sucked.

The only good thing about the movie was the shinigami.

The acting was horrible... seriously...
Light specially sucked, L only had the right posture, but it completely lacked epicness.

In all honesty, that kind of crappy acting wont be hard to beat.
I'm not looking forward to the english version, but somehow I think I might enjoy it more than the japanese one.
And thats REALLY saying something.

...The cast sucks though. Zack Effron... hah...

yeah, I cant say Ive seen any decent live action films, but I was entertained by deathnote somehow, not to say the acting was good xD but ryuk was quite cool

And as for Death Note, yeah I kind of enjoyed it too. Ryuk was epic, and so was everyone else... just... in a different way.
